Are You A Good Boss, or a Nice One?
Webinar presented by NARPM's Women's Council of Property Managers and sponsored by

Now, more than ever, our organizations need leaders who are both competent and compassionate. But how do you negotiate that balance? Lean too far toward accommodation and you run the risk of being dubbed as a push-over, easy to manipulate and unlikely to take a stand; venture too far toward tasks and output, and you risk being labeled as uncaring, overly demanding, or even a bully. The goal is to balance relationships with tasks. It is possible to be both a good boss and a nice one.
This interactive session will review common misconceptions about leadership and help you identify the strengths and skills you bring to your role as a leader. Using polls and breakout sessions, you’ll explore some of the misconceptions of leadership today, share challenges you face, and gain valuable insights to help you build trusting relationships, maintain accountability, and help your employees thrive.
Some of the topic areas we’ll discuss are:
- The Art of Delegation
- How to create accountability in a virtual world (hint: your team wants you to lead them)
- Why Self-Awareness really does help you as a leader
- Where should your focus be as a leader?
- Recognition, appreciation, gratitude, and thanks
